If you click on the link below, it will take you to Mixclould where you can listen to the show in your own time. Make yourself a cuppa sit back and put your feet up or just have it on the background whilst doing things.

22nd CRYSTAL BOOT AWARDS ........
Crystal Boots Jan'18 - Blackpool.
I literally had the time of my life and enjoyed every single minute of it. Betty Drummond, Steve Healy and The LineDancer team ….. my hat is off to you, you have done it again. Your hard work sets every single person up to go away from that weekend with a bank full of fabulous memories and we ALL thank you for that.
To attend as a nominee is something special, as ultimately you are in that position because of the dancers taking time out of their day to vote, teach and dance to your work. For that I am forever grateful to you all. A Crystal Boot was not picked up by me but I really want to thank everyone who voted for me along the way. Let It Swing was nominated for the 2nd year running. With 18 months from it’s first release dancing it again at the awards, plus still filling the floors everywhere ……… that is my Crystal Boot right there.
Everyday I am living my dream by teaching and getting enjoyment out of seeing dancers progress and dance the dances I have taught them. So to be able to have taught my dance "Stanryck" at this years Crystal Boot Awards and having all those smiley faces looking up at at me during my workshop was just something that will stay with me forever. Thank you to all who attended my workshop and danced along with me. It was such an honour to have shared the stage with the lovely Jo Thompson SzymanskiMaddiosn Maddison Glover, Rebbeca Lee & Michelle Risley during Super Sunday!!
It was lovely to meet up with so many friends, make new ones and to spend time with everyone. I had many close friends there to support me & encourage me, too many to mention but you know who you are, although I have to say a massive thank you to Lynne Williams who is such a support in everything I do and to have her right by my side means a lot.
The DJ’s & the artist you totally rock! Between you all you kept the dance floor going the whole duration. Playing a great mix of something for everyone. Gary Lafferty congratulations on your award and thank you so much for all the updates all over the weekend.
Massive congratulations to all of this years nominees and well done to all the winners on their rightly deserved awards.
I am looking forward to a great year of dancing and thank all the event organisers that have booked me for their events. I am so looking forward to each and everyone of them.
To ALL my Boogie Shoes dancers and friends I loves ya all.
Here’s to #CBA2019
THE YEARS CHARITY SOCIAL .....
Friday 5th January saw this first Social of 2018 for Boogie Shoes. It was set up to raise awareness and dosh for this years chosen charity which was for The Alzheimer's Society.
The money raised on the evening alone was made up from door entry, donations, raffle (made up from your un-wanted Christmas Gifts) and "pay the DJ" (where you could pay to make sure your favourite dances got played!) plus a game of Irish Bingo. I am so chuffed & proud to say that we raised an AMAZING amount of ............ £1,146.25.
The raffle was made up of well over 100 prizes and we got through in 3 batches of "speed raffle" throughout the evening in between dancing to your requests.
It is not going to stop there though. I will be bring the collection tins to each class (just for the next week) to give dancers who couldn't make the evening an opportunity to bump up the fabulous total raised already.
THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone
involved, YOU DID SOMETHING AMAZING!
Special shout out to Bobbie Ireland, Harvey Ireland & Johnny O'Connell for their help in getting you in, selling the raffle tickets and setting up, and to Jane Meredith & June Elliott for helping clear up and pack up!
Sandra Adams for hand knitting little Forget Me Not brooches, selling them and giving all the money from sales to the charity.
Here's to a fab year of dancing
