As of the 24th May 2018 the current Data Protection act is being replaced by the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). This requires Boogie Shoes by law to have your permission to hold information about you and to let you know how it will be used.

First and foremost any personal information *Boogie Shoes have of yours (email, telephone, address, account details) is used solely by *Boogie Shoes and is not passed onto anyone else. It is also not used for any marketing purposes and is purely used as a point of contact between yourself and *Boogie Shoes.

All information is stored under lock and key and if stored on a phone, mobile device 

or home computer it is password protected. This is required by law.

Data Boogie Shoes collects from it's visitors are as follows:

• Name(s): Used as a point of contact & may be seen on a class register.
• Address: Used for mailing purposes between Boogie Shoes and the visitor.
• Telelphone Number(s): Used as a point of contact between Boogie Shoes and it's visitors to enable contact between both parties on any notifications on classes and or events.
• Email Address: Used as a point of contact between Boogie Shoes and it's visitors to enable contact between both parties on any notifications on classes and or events. Other dancers/instructors outside of Boogie Shoes Club who share their email address with Boogie Shoes. The data held is to go on a mailing list for forthcoming events and future choreography work from Jamie Barnfield as requested. Any email address used in mailing purposes will not be disclosed to other parties.
• Facebook & Messenger: Used as a point of contact between Boogie Shoes and it's visitors to enable contact between both parties on any notifications on classes and or events. And for those members who share their email address with Boogie Shoes to go on a mailing list for forthcoming events and future choreograph work from Jamie Barnfield.

SOCIAL MEDIA/WEBSITE & PHOTOS:

During some classes & events videos and or photo’s maybe taken to use as promotional material on social media networks (such as Facebook/Instagram). 

You will always be notified during these times as to when this will happen. 

At this point you will make it be known that you wish to opt out of this situation.

PHOTO’s: Photo’s are sometimes taken at Classes and Events that may get used on Facebook/Instagram and Boogie Shoes Website, should you wish for these not to be used on any platform you will make it be known prior to the photo being taken. 

Please note: You can let Boogie Shoes know at anytime if you wish for your information to be removed from our records. Any prior actions on Social Media/Instagram/Website may remain.
